The project came about due to a clear need for a better way to find domains.  Having launched many other web services, the hardest part was coming up with a domain name that wasn’t taken but could easily be memorized.  We also realized that domain management was pretty difficult too.  Bust a Name was created to try to fix both of these problems and help you manage web site related things easier.

Wasn’t there some famous guy who said that most great inventions come from the desire to fill a need? No, wait.. “find a need, fill a need…” it was from Robots. Anyways, its a valid mantra that Bust a Name have definately put into practice. I like the fact that they’ve gone beyond just providing a basic, ‘find a domain’ service that most ISP’s provide anyways. With the added searching & filtering services as well as the ability to actually purchase the domain, its a great one-stop-domain-shop. Good work.
